New Arrival…FWM…Whatever you want to call it
Hmmm. All of a sudden ‘FWM‘ looks like some sort of dating site acronym. Is it? I don’t even wanna go there. In this case, it stands for “Friday with Marnie”. Yes, I have been so slack, that it has come to this. I had lots of ideas on Tuesday about what I was going to write about, but somehow Tuesday turned into Wednesday…. and WWM seemed weird (and like it involved the World Wrestling league)… then Wednesday turned into Thursday, which, you know, would have been perfect and has been done before… but, apparently I got sidetracked on Thursday. Which brings us to FWM. I’m not going to make a habit of this, I promise. Should it ever come to SWM I’m officially done, because I KNOW that is a dating acronym for a Single White Male, and that’s just wrong.
Ok, so, we just received our first shipment of J Brand jeans! Due to brand conflict, J Brand will only be available on St. Laurent… you’ll notice that happening a lot. Kind of annoying, we know, but unfortunately there are some brands that at this stage, we cannot carry at both locations. We’ll do our best to get you whatever you want, no matter which location you are closest too. We can do that because we have a car. Brilliant, right?
So, we stayed with the J Brand classic best seller- the 910 Low Rise Skinny leg in Ink, Shadow (black, $199) and High Tide (Washed denim, $240)

And then…. um…. we got… um… an…. um…. legging. In jean. Some might call it a “jegging”. But I’m not prepared to go there. (For fear of backlash from Sally, quite frankly… I can’t even imaging what my sister Steph will say about this…) So, we will call it a legging, got it?

All I can say is that there are people who look amazing in these. I don’t happen to be one of those people, so you won’t see me sporting these around the store… or anywhere else for that matter. But, I know people who have leggings (in jean) and they look great. And they’re perfect for wearing with boots. And lighter than regular jeans so great for Spring/Summer. And, and, and…. just try them on…

Brand conflict means that there are other stores in the area that already carry the line and as a result we are not able to have said line in that territory… I’m not sure if I chose the right term… actually I kind of made it up! But that is the reality with some of the lines that we have. Hope that clears it up… and makes sense?
