Lola & Emily Set Up Westmount “Closet

After nine years of dressing hipsters on the Main, Lola & Emily has set up a second shop in Westmount. “It’s like Lola & Emily grew up,” said Amanda Eaman, one of the shop owners.
Lola and Emily are a fictitious duo invented to help give the store a homey feel. “Like it’s your best friend’s closet,” Eaman explained.
The Westmount store is just as cozy and pretty as the St. Laurent Blvd. location, though it’s slightly more posh. The walls are painted light grey and white with washed-out lavender accents. There’s a couch for lounging.
Spring inventory features a variety of tops and dresses with nautical stripes and flowers, along with a selection of solids. Labels are the same at both stores.
In Westmount, Canadian items include a striped lapis tunic dress from Dace for $228, along with a marine blue and white stripe combo sweater from Ça Va de Soi for $159. Other pieces include a flower lilac and black skirt from S’nob for $125, and a light yellow splatter-paint tunic from Margit Brandt for $205.
Punchy accessories for less than $100 are aplenty as well. Dainty printed summer scarves range from $69 to $89 while an adorable three-tiered clutch with yellow, python and black leather layers is $65.
The new Lola & Emily is at 4920 Sherbrooke St. W. Visit www.lolaandemily.com for more information.
