January Jones in Versace at the 2010 Emmy’s?
Obviously she is gorgeous and the dress is somethin’ else, I think that color looks amazing on her and I LOVE the top part of the dress but as a general rule, and I think Marnie will agree with me here, I really, really don’t like the ‘short in front, long in back’ hem on dresses so it kinda kills it for me.
What do you think?

I’m normally not a fan of short in front, long in back either. but i’m also not really a fan of red-carpet attire. it’s too put-together for my style tastes. which is why i really liked January’s dress. i thought the sturdy cut made an exception of the short front/long train rule and her wispy hair gave the whole look this fresh and modern red-carpet edge. it’s a complete hit in my book
well, you know my feeling about short front/long back… but as these styles go, i dislike this dress less than others i have seen… maybe it’s the majorly dramatic long train that makes it not so… blech… i mean, don’t get me wrong, it will never be my fave style, but, all in all, i don’t hate it.
I just wish the fit was better, and the smile more genuine.
