Oscarzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Yeah, I’m not gonna bother writing my normal novel after an awards show for a couple of reasons: first of all because I missed the ‘Red Carpet’ part of the evening so although I have seen most of the dresses online now, I really only saw them in person during the show. Second because frankly that was the WORST Oscars I have seen in a long time. It was SO boring, I didn’t think James Franco and Anne Hathaway made any sense as the hosts and frankly, Anne kind of bothered me every time she appeared on stage. And finally, and possibly most importantly, let’s be honest, nobody reads the crap I write.
So, if I had to sum up the evening in a couple of words (for anyone who knows me, you know it is virtually impossible for me to sum up even ONE ACTUAL WORD IN ONE WORD…), my word would be unwatchable (almost). See how I did that… 2 words.
If I had to sum up my favourite look in one image, however, it would be easy.

Mila Kunis’ dress was PERFECT. The colour, the details, the fit… I don’t know. I loved everything about it. And it has reinforced what I have been noticing is my obssession with all things lace lately. I feel you might be seeing lots of lace at Lola & Emily for Fall.
What did you guys think of the show? Favourite dresses? Moments?” Criticisms?

um, Marnie, I read everything you write.
and yes to lotsa lace in the fall.
This was hands-down my favourite dress, and I am definitely on the lace bandwagon this season. Oscars were a snooze this year; how disappointing. Was James Franco riding the Pineapple Express or what!?
I feel compelled to reassure you: I have been faithfully reading everything you write for the past two months!
Can’t we have lace this summer?! Pretty please!
I also like Cate Blanchet’s ( how do you spell her last name????) dress. Mila looked perfect, my fav as well!
Also, Marn, i read what you write everyday!!!
Mila’s dress was divine. I, too, loved Cate. One more: Gwyneth on the red carpet (not when she was on stage).
