This Just In/New Brand
One Teaspoon is a new brand for us here at Lola & Emily. It’s Australian, and I distinctly remember Amanda and I feeling a very rocker/pirate vibe from the Spring collection when we bought it. “Rocker/pirate… Really? I’m not so sure about that…” You may very well say. Well, all I can respond to that is trust us. The items that we chose are possibly best described as reserved rocker/pirate, so don’t worry. No one is going to be looking at you funny when you are walking down the street wearing something from this collection. They WILL be looking at you, but only because you look SO hot, and when you pass by, you may hear one of them say to the other “I don’t know what it is about that chick. She’s SO hot. In, like, I don’t know… a weird, sexy, rocker/pirate kind of way. Does that even make sense?”. Oh, it makes perfect sense, my friend…. and, you’re welcome.
The dress above is a good example of what we mean. It’s a maxi dress, with a relatively subdued black print. But the tiny hook-and-eye closures all down the front, coupled with the skull details on the back make it a totally different animal.

And check out this “dress”… oh you crazy, tall, thin, athletic Australians… calling this a dress…. I’m going with top. Or tunic even. Anyhow, it’s SUPER low-cut, but with the crochet lace detail it keeps it looking a lot more “pretty” as opposed to all-out “slutty”. Can I say that here? Anyhow, this “dress” also comes with a matching set of panties. I hate the word panties. But honestly, it seems slightly better than any alternatives, which I just don’t feel I can throw out there now… Trust me again when I tell you the whole package is adorable.

And then you have this bathing suit, called the “Captain Hooker One-piece”. I think that in and of itself goes to my above “rocker/pirate” point, right?
