SoBe Recap
Well, I’m back from my trip and all I can say is that I probably haven’t laughed that hard in a very, very long time. What an incredible time and opportunity to reconnect with 7 of my high school girlfriends. It was just an absolutely hysterical time.
As it happens, we were in SoBe during the “Ultra Music Festival”… which basically means that there was house/dance/trance/techno music pumping from morning until… morning actually. And when I say ‘pumping’ I mean PUMPING. There were so many people in SoBe it was a bit crazy but I actually didn’t really talk to anyone other than my friends, unless it was to a waiter to order some sort of frothy beach drink (yum). Anyhow, we stayed at The Shore Club, which was great. We hung out on the beach, we had some delicious drinks, we ate some good food and we laughed ourselves silly.
Wardrobe-wise I was ok… couldn’t wear the Funktional dress that I planned to wear because I got a weird burn… yes, it’s ridiculous that I am still burning at 39… but… what can you do. Perhaps if I had realized it was the Ultra Music Festival I might have packed differently… ie. I wouldn’t have bothered to bring any actual clothes because I could have just wandered around the city in my bikini. Apparently that seems to be acceptable, as long as you are wearing your bikini with evening footwear: stilettos, booties or (my personal favourite look) knee-high stiletto leather boots (I’m not kidding).
Anyhow, to all my SoBe Bitches (Annie, Mel, Miller, Kelp, Jo, Asty and Jess) I had such a blast with you and look forward to our next ladies vacay. Until then, we can always remember the good times by looking at the picture of The Shore Club pool on Sunday… Heaven. Ahahaha. I’m kidding… That’s sort of my nightmare actually, and explains why we spent our days at the beach!

So glad I now know where to find your blog! So where’s my photo credit?! (I think it’s the only one I took all weekend
plus I think the army colored unitard (!) that accompanied the knee-high stiletto leather boots deserves mentioning … Love you, Marn!
Actually, I will GLADLY give you credit on this photo, Mel… because I’m sure everyone just assumed that I took it because it is not the best shot ever (sorry… too much shade) and I am a terrible photographer and have subjected our reader(s) to far too many of my terrible shots in the past, so it’s nice to credit one to someone else! xoxoxox
Um… it wasn’t a unitard. It’s called uni-tini. Totally mainstream in SoBe.
Who’s Kelp?
