This Free People skirt we just received is described as “vegan” leather.  WTF is that?  I assume they are just trying to find a cooler way to say “faux” or “fake” or “polyurethane” (which is what it is actually made of).  I don’t know… it just seems like calling something “vegan leather” is an oxymoron.  I mean, by definition, leather is animal hide, so, really, how can it be v… ok, look, I don’t want to be like the definition police here or anything, and while I (clearly) take exception to their choice of adjective, it doesn’t change the fact that this skirt is AWESOME.  It’s pleated, can be hand washed AND it’s VEGAN.  Haha.  Seriously, though, it’s a really great piece, and I think it works just as well for right now as it will for Winter.
