Designers Remix Collection

February 20, 2012

Officially, I am in love with this.  Not so much that I want to marry it, but maybe enough to want to WEAR it TO a wedding.  Let’s examine the evidence, shall we?

First, the front.

It’s a black skirt, with a flattering ivory/nude/natural/beige/greige/taupe top.  BUT it’s not a skirt and a top.  It’s A DRESS.

And now the back.

Kind of romantic, a little more flowy, with the tiniest bit of back showing.  And you can wear a bra.  Magic.  Wouldn’t it look amazing with red lipstick and maybe some coloured accessories?  Right?

Now let’s take a look at it on a surly model.

Why does she look so unhappy?  Because I don’t want her at a wedding if she’s going to look like that.  It’s almost as if she’s sneering.

Wait a minute.  Did she date the groom, like 8 years ago, and it didn’t really work out, and they remained friends, but not really, but it’s a big wedding, and she made the invite list?  But now the groom is totally regretting it because she is just such a sourpuss.

But remarkably, the bride is just like “Whatevs.  I’m SO happy, and having such an awesome day, and her dress is SUPES cute, and so I’m going to ignore that look, and grab her hand and make her dance with me and my best friends, and she’s going to end up having the best time, and hooking up with my brother.”

And then the groom is going to be reminded AGAIN just why he loves the bride SO much, because she is ALWAYS the bigger, better person in these situations, and everyone ends up loving her.  And they live happily ever after.  (As do the once-surly model and the bride’s brother, by the way).

The end.
