I remember my first day in Fashion Marketing at Lasalle College like it was yesterday, one of our teachers asked us what we would all like to be when we were done with the course, half of the class raised their hands to ‘stylist’ and the other to ‘buyer’. Of course the titles to these jobs sound glamourous and we all pictured ourselves hand in hand with some celebrity…..I would be shocked if anyone of us pictured Chabanel street in February!!!!! Chabanel street is Montreal’s version of New York’s garment district. Marnie and I find ourselves trudging over there annually over a few weeks in February and again in September to do some buying for the store. We often go to 225 Chabanel, much like we did this morning to check out Filippa K Fall 2012 at WANT Agency with the lovely Samantha.

Buying is a pretty easy process for Marnie and I, we have our system down pat and we pretty much agree on all our style choices. Filippa K Fall 2012 is full of color and sure to be a crowd pleaser….now you’ll just have to wait until July to see how hard we worked this morning!!!!!!!
