Hmmm.  As I was sitting by the pool at my parents’ house yesterday, basking in the unexpected sun… ok… getting a burn… and my Mom and I were chatting about Summer at the store, and she said something to the effect of… “It will be 8 years next week, right?”  And I said “Yup.  8 years on August 9th”.  And she said… “Um.  Marn.  Today is August 9th.”

And that is how I was reminded that Lola & Emily has been open for 8 years.  As of yesterday.  There are so many incredible moments and memories that I would love to share, however I will spare you the 14 page rambling Ode to Lola & Emily and leave it at this… so many amazing girls who have worked at the store, so many fantastic clothes that I still remember, about a million hysterically funny moments, a few incredibly hard  moments, more than a couple of hugely embarrassing moments, and a whole bunch of amazing customers.

To everyone who has helped make Lola & Emily what it is… you know who you are… I love you dearly and thank you for being a part of it all.  Here’s to the coming year.  xo
